Course Timeline
In addition to self-study using NYC English, you will attend four live seminars led by highly qualified trainers with extensive experience in English language education.
This will start with an onsite full day kick-off seminar. Followed by online seminars in months 2 and 3, and a final full day onsite seminar at the end of month 4. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive your ‘Certificate of Achievement’.

Level 1 Seminars – Are you ready to start on your journey of professional development and self-improvement?

Level 1 is your first step. You will practice basic communication skills through fun, hands-on activities that support what you’re learning in the NYC English app.

You’ll focus on introducing yourself, asking and answering everyday questions, and using simple classroom English.

You’ll also work on pronunciation, vocabulary building, and foundational grammar—like sentence structure, verb forms, and common classroom phrases.

Through group practice, role play, and guided exercises, you'll begin to feel more comfortable speaking and understanding English in real-world situations.
By the end of Level 1, you’ll have a solid foundation of basic English and be ready to continue your learning journey in Level 2.
Level 2 Seminars – Now that you’ve built a foundation, this Level strengthens your skills in English to reach the minimum standard required for classroom teaching.

These seminars are designed to help you expand your grammar knowledge, improve sentence writing, and strengthen your speaking and listening.

You’ll explore useful topics like how to describe people, express time with different tenses, give commands and suggestions, and use modal verbs correctly.

You’ll also work on pronunciation, classroom communication, and interactive speaking tasks.

Online sessions focus on grammar essentials—possessives, comparisons, reflexive pronouns—and using everyday English more fluently.

You’ll even have the chance to adapt lesson materials, design classroom exercises, and practice using English in simulated teaching situations.
By the end of Level 2, you’ll feel more confident leading classroom activities and everyday conversation.
Level 3 Seminars – This reinforces Level 2 to a more advanced level of teaching professionalism.

You’ll build strong grammar skills with compound and complex sentences, relative clauses, gerunds, infinitives, passive voice, and perfect tenses.
